Everywhere I go in the school students are abuzz about the upcoming book fair. It’s an exciting reading, event for children of all ages. This year the book fair will be open from May 27th- June 2nd in the FES Library.
We have two goals for the book fair.
One goal is to make sure students are stocked up on books for the summer months.
The other goal is to raise funds for the FES Library.
This year we used book fair earnings to buy library book bags for every student in grades K-3.
We purchased copies of Rules by Cynthia Lord for all 4th and 5th grade classrooms,
and funded an author visit with Cynthia Lord along with PTO arts enrichment money.
We used book fair money to purchase a subscription to Pebble Go!, an online database for K-3 students
We also purchased a subscription to True Flix, a collection of social studies and science e-books for students in grades 3-5.
